PRODUCTION
Graze-On
/ Grass Nuts
Cut grass harvested straight from the field is
brought into the yard using tractors and trailers and then fed into
the high temperature drier using a JCB 530 Loadall. The grass passes
through a large rotary drying drum where it is 'flash' dried at temperatures
of up to 800°C. Within this drum hot air removes the moisture from
the grass thus producing the dried grass. This grass is then either
left in its loose form and compressed into 15kg bales, 36 of which are
stacked on a 5' x 4' pallet, stretch wrapped and then sold as GRAZE-ON,
or the grass is milled and then pelleted into either 5mm or 6mm grass
nuts.
Graze-On
Gold Blend
High quality straw is chopped and conditioned
and then mixed with loose dried grass. A blend of low sugar molasses
extract and soya oil is then finely misted over the straw and grass
during mixing to ensure a uniform product is achieved. The final product
is then compressed into 12.5kg bales, 42 stacked on a pallet, stretch
wrapped and then brought to you as Graze-On Gold Blend.
Megazorb
Wet wood pulp is fed into a second similar drier
and when dried the product is blown through a series of pipes, and moved
from the drier building to the storage shed. During the production process
Megazorb has dust removed at two separate stages before being put into
85 litre weatherproof bags. A palletiser is now in use to compress the
bags before automatically stacking 60 bags onto a pallet.
